Los Angeles Dodgers Sign Veteran Pitcher To Minor League Deal
The Los Angeles Dodgers are once again off to a fantastic start in 2023, but with so much competition in the National League this season, even this stacked team will have to be at their absolute best if they want to win a second World Series ring in the modern era.
With so much competition, it makes sense if Los Angeles want to pick up some more pieces here and there, and on Saturday, they've taken a chance on a veteran arm in the form of Ken Giles, a veteran of nine-years and a World Series Champion.
Over that nine year career, Giles has racked up a 2.71 ERA and 114 saves, including a 2.30 ERA and 34 saves in 2017 to lead the Houston Astros over the Dodgers in the World Series, and while he's dealt with injuries over the past few years, there's no reason why he can't bounce back for LA if he makes it to the big league level again.Ken Giles is headed to the Dodgers organization on a minor league deal pic.twitter.com/oxDzNOwr3s
