Los Angeles Angels Call Up Hard-Throwing Reliever
The Los Angeles Angels are off to a solid start in 2023, and find themselves right in the thick of the playoff race in the American League West, but now, after placing veteran reliever Matt Moore on the 15-day IL, they have called up one of the hardest throwing pitchers in the organization.
That would be Ben Joyce, the 22-year old who was drafted in the third round of the 2022 MLB Draft by the Angels, who has become known as a flame-thrower, with a record 105 MPH fastball in the past, which they are hoping he can put to use.
They will also be hoping that he has better performances that he has shown this year at the Double-A level, as he has posted a 4.60 in 15.2 innings this season, while walking 13 batters in that time, and now, he's expected to step up and lodge some crucial innings for this team.Remember the pitcher from Tennessee that threw a pitch 105.5?
