Colorado Rockies Starter To Undergo Tommy John Surgery
The Colorado Rockies are off to a very poor start in 2023, and unfortunately, there has been very few standouts on this team, and now, they'll be down yet another crucial starter for the rest of the 2023 MLB season.
After leaving his latest start, the Rockies have now confirmed that veteran Germán Márquez will now undergo Tommy John Surgery, ending his 2023 campaign, and likely delaying his return until late in the 2024 regular season.
In four starts this year, Márquez has racked up a 2-2 record with a 4.95 ERA, so it certainly wasn't the best start to his career, but the 8-year veteran is a key part of this rotation, and will certainly be missed as a presence for a team that is struggling to begin the year.Germán Márquez will undergo Tommy John surgery, per @psaundersdp pic.twitter.com/U8Tq3mtEFA
