Cleveland Guardians Star On Track For Return In The Coming Weeks
The Cleveland Guardians haven't been off to the best start in 2023, but find themselves in striking distance of first place in the American League Central Division, so getting their rotation healthy will be key to making up that distance.
Now, it appears young star Triston McKenzie will be on his way back soon, as he completed a rehab start of three innings over the weekend, with the team likely looking to get him just one more start before a return to the big leagues.
Due to his stint on the 60-day IL, he can't return until at least May 29, but after looking sharp in his first rehab stint, it's very likely that the Guardians will get him one more start and have him back in the rotation early next week.#Guardians RHP Triston McKenzie looked sharp making his 1st rehab appearance for Triple-A Columbus. McKenzie threw 3.0 scoreless innings striking out 4. Fastball topped out at 95.3 mph & averaged 92.6 mph.
