Cincinnati Reds Pitcher To Undergo Elbow Surgery
The Cincinnati Reds have unsurprisingly been off to a very slow start in 2023, and with very little elite level talent, they are planning for the future, and like other teams, injuries are something they can't afford, but unfortunately, haven't been able to avoid.
While the latest injury didn't come from the active roster, it hurts nonetheless, as 29-year old Connor Overton is now set to undergo elbow surgery following a setback in his recovery from an elbow strain that occurred back in April.
In 11 innings this season, the big righty has given up 14 earned runs to the tune of an 11.45 ERA, and while that's not a good number, he was solid in his first year with the team in 2022, posting a 2.73 ERA, so they'll be hoping once he's past this, he can get back to career best form.
