Chicago White Sox Place Veteran Starter On The Injured List
The Chicago White Sox have been dealing with struggles all season long to this point, and now, as the team sits at 19-29 and in fourth place in the American League Central, it appears that injury woes are now piling up too.
After losing a key starter to Tommy John surgery, the White Sox have now officially placed Mike Clevinger on the injured list with wrist inflammation, meaning that a tough season is just getting tougher for them.
In 2023, the 32-year old has compiled a 3-3 record in 9 starts with a 4.56 ERA, and while that's not pretty overall, he's given them some quality starts, so if they expect to go on a run and get back in the race, they need him back as soon as humanly possible.Minutes before first pitch here, the Sox announce that Mike Clevinger has landed on the injured list with right wrist inflammation. So days after Davis Martin’s Tommy John surgery, here’s the first test of starting-pitching depth for the Sox this season.
