Chicago White Sox Closer One Step Closer To MLB return
Professional sports is full of incredible, inspiring and impressive stories, and this season the MLB will play host to one of the best in recent memory, as Chicago White Sox closer Liam Hendriks continues his recovery from Stage 4 cancer.
Less than six months after the original diagnosis, Hendriks is headed to Chicago this week as the next stage of his recovery, and after an impressive stint in Triple-A, he now finds himself on the cusp of an incredible and improbable return.
He will now throw a live BP on Friday, and without any setbacks, he could be pitching in the major leagues next week at the earliest, and while Chicago is having a poor year, this is an amazing story that deserves plenty of admiration.Spoke with White Sox closer Liam Hendriks, who is headed to Chicago this week following a AAA rehab less than six months after he was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. Plan is for him to throw live BP on Friday and, should it go well, he'll pitch in the big leagues soon thereafter.
