Brutal Break For Miami Marlins: All-Star To Miss Significant Time

A tough break for the Miami Marlins, where the outfield has been struck with yet another injury, this time to their 2022 All-Star center fielder.

Jazz Chisholm is suffering from turf toe as a result of a collision with the outfield wall on the weekend, and Marlins manager Skip Schumaker says he'll miss approximately 4-6 weeks.

It's not the first time the former shortstop has gone crashing into the outfield wall since moving to center field this season, but this one was obviously the most serious:

He was in quite a bit of pain after ramming face-first into the fence on Saturday.

An All-Star last season, Chisholm was off to a bit of a slower start this year, batting .227 with a .286 on-base and .669 OPS. But he does have six homers and 15 RBIs, along with 13 stolen bases.

Fellow outfielders Jesus Sanchez and Avisail Garcia are also out of the lineup indefinitely for the Fish.
