Boston Red Sox Move Former Cy Young Winner To The Bullpen
The Boston Red Sox have been off to a solid start in 2023, despite being tied for last place in the stacked American League East division, and now, they're making a big shift in hopes of rekindling the career of a former Cy Young Award Winner.
That would Manager Alex Cora shifting Corey Kluber to the bullpen, as he has struggled through nine starts this season with a 2-6 record and a poor 6.26 ERA, but given his success in the past, he can still be a valuable asset for this team.
In his place, Tanner Houck will shift into the starting rotation following a stellar 6 inning, 1 run outing against the Angels on Monday, and with plenty of time to catch up to the playoff race in the American League, this could be a fantastic move.Alex Cora has announced that Corey Kluber will be moved to the bullpen and Tanner Houck will keep his spot in the rotation.
