Atlanta Braves Reinstate Veteran Reliever
After an incredible World Series winning campaign in 2021, the Atlanta Braves have solidified themselves as a constant threat in the National League, posting a 22-11 record through their first 33 games this season, and now, the cavalry is on the way as the rich seem to get richer.
On Friday, the Braves officially reinstated veteran reliever Raisel Iglesias from his rehab assignment, and with one of the best bullpens in the game, this now gives them yet another dangerous weapon in high leverage situations late in games.
In eight years at the major league level, the 33-year old has racked up an impressive 157 saves, and while he may not immediately slot into the closer role, he gives this team even more depth, making them even more dangerous going forward.The #Braves today returned RHP Raisel Iglesias from his rehabilitation assignment and reinstated him from the injured list after optioning LHP Dylan Dodd to Triple-A Gwinnett following yesterday’s game.
