Seattle Mariners Release Pitcher After One-Month Stint With Team

On the market again.

29-year-old right-handed pitcher Carson Fulmer has been released from his minor league contract with the Seattle Mariners after not meeting the team's expectations during spring training.

Fulmer, a former first-round pick, played in 74 major league games, including 15 starts, for teams such as the Chicago White Sox, Detroit Tigers, Baltimore Orioles, and Cincinnati Reds since his debut in 2016.

Despite joining the Mariners in February, Fulmer did not impress the team and is now a free agent searching for a new opportunity with another team.

Over his six-year career, Fulmer has compiled a 6.41 ERA, 1.58 WHIP, with 118 strikeouts across 130.2 innings and 74 appearances. Photo Credit: Kareem Elgazzar via Imagn Content Services, LLC
