San Francisco Giants Star Outfielder Suffers Hamstring Injury
The San Francisco Giants were a part of the latest MLB Mexico Series over the weekend, as they were swept by the division rival San Diego Padres, but after a slow start, it appears that even more bad news could be on the way for San Francisco.
In a diving attempted in centre field during the 6-4 loss on Sunday, star outfielder Mike Yastrzemski appeared to have suffered a leg injury which will likely send him to the 10-day Injured List at the very least.
Yastrzemski will now undergo an MRI on the hamstring, and after a solid start to the year, this is the last thing the Giants need if they have any chance of fighting for a playoff berth in 2023, so they'll all have their fingers crossed. This could turn out to be a nightmare inning for the Giants. Mike Yastrzemski's limping off with an apparent leg injury after a Superman diving catch effort in CF. Padres turn a 4-3 deficit into a 6-4 lead.
