Red Sox Lose Red-Hot Adam Duvall To Injured List
Bad timing for the Boston Red Sox and for Adam Duvall, who was leading all of baseball in, well, pretty much everything. The center fielder will head to the injured list after suffering a broken left wrist on this play in Sunday's game:

Duvall made a dive and a roll in an attempt to catch a short center pop-up by the Detroit Tigers' Spencer Torkelson, but came up grabbing his left wrist in pain. It certainly didn't look good as his gloved hand turns an awkward way as it hits the ground trying for the catch.
Duvall will miss a significant amount of time, a brutal blow for Boston. The Red Sox have called up former prospect Bobby Dalbec to take Duvall's spot on the roster.
The 32-year-old Duvall was signed late in the offseason by the BoSox after a dreadful and injury-filled year in 2022 in Atlanta. But Duvall has been the hottest hitter in the world to start the season. He's batting .455 with an AL-leading four him runs, a .514 on-base and leads all of the major leagues in:
- RBIs: 14
- Slugging: 1.030
- OPS: 1.544
- OPS+: 304
- Total bases: 34
