Pittsburgh Pirates Rumors: 3 Early-Season Trade Candidates
Welcome to Baseball Rumors' Early-Season Trade Candidates series. During it, we will be looking at three players who are already emerging as trade candidates during the beginning portion of the campaign.
In this latest episode, we will be looking at the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Bryan Reynolds: Bryan Reynolds has made it abundantly clear that he wants to be traded. Although he had extension talks with the Pirates, nothing came from them, and now a trade centering around him could occur before the deadline passes because of it.
Rich Hill: If the Pirates are out of the playoff race by the time we get to the deadline, Rich Hill will likely be on the move. Playoff teams around the league would likely love to add him to their pitching depth, as he has plenty of experience and is still reliable when performing at his best.
Carlos Santana: Carlos Santana inked a one-year deal with the Pirates, so he naturally stands out as a rental candidate. This is especially true when noting that he offers great power. Therefore, there should be a market for him at the deadline.
