MLB Rumors: San Diego Padres Are Worried About Superstar Outfielder
The San Diego Padres have become the MLB's biggest spenders with the exception of the New York Mets in recent years, all in pursuit of a World Series ring, with the biggest of their massive moves being the acquisition of superstar outfielder Juan Soto from the Washington Nationals.
Now, according to USA Today's Bob Nightengale, the organization are worried about their top star, who seemingly hasn't lived up to expectations in San Diego, and with their rumoured pursuit of Shohei Ohtani this off-season, it could leave Soto being traded.
It's still early in the season however, and if the team can build momentum and get Soto hitting with the return of Fernando Tatis, this could certainly change, but for now, keep an eye on the Padres going forward. The #Padres are worried about star OF Juan Soto—who hasn’t been the same player since he got to SD, per @BNightengale.
