Minnesota Twins Rumors: 3 Early-Season Trade Candidates
Welcome to Baseball Rumors' Early-Season Trade Candidates series. During it, we will be looking at three players who are already emerging as trade candidates during the beginning portion of the campaign.
In this final installment, we will be focusing on the Minnesota Twins.
Sonny Gray: The Twins have had a solid start to the year, but if they cool off and are out of playoff contention by the deadline, look for Sonny Gray to be traded. He is a pending UFA who will be looking for a big payday, as it could be his last chance to land a major deal through free agency.
Max Kepler: The Twins were shopping Max Kepler all offseason, but a move was never finalized. However, as we get closer to the playoffs, don't be surprised if things change on that front. Teams looking for outfield depth will surely consider bringing in the slugger.
Louie Varland: Louie Varland is another name to pay close attention to in the trade market. He could be a valuable piece for the Twins to move if they want to add a player who will make them better immediately.
