- Jeff Lindgren went through waivers and has been outrighted to AAA Jacksonville
Lindgren filled in for veteran Johnny Cueto in his debut and pitched five innings in relief, allowing four earned runs. Despite his efforts, Lindgren was designated for assignment and went unclaimed on waivers earlier this week.
As a result, he will return to the minors to serve as emergency pitching depth for the Marlins organization.

For his minor-league career, the 26-year-old has compiled a 3.75 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, with 227 strikeouts over 271 innings and 63 appearances.
He'll continue to grind away in the minors as he waits for another big-league call-up.
