Injury Updates On Two Key Atlanta Braves Pitchers
Several key players for the Atlanta Braves are currently dealing with injuries that have impacted their start to the 2023 season.
Raisel Iglesias, one of baseball's premier closers, has been sidelined due to right shoulder inflammation and has not resumed throwing almost two weeks after the diagnosis, a troubling sign.
There is no timetable for his return, and his situation should be closely monitored.
Brian Snitker said both Max Fried and Raisel Iglesias are feeling good. Fried is throwing, but Iglesias has yet to do so. That's his next step.

Fried hasn't tested the hamstring running yet, but could soon. Once he does so, #Braves will have a clearer timeline for his return.
Meanwhile, Max Fried, the Braves' starting pitcher, is recovering from a left hamstring strain he sustained during his Opening Day start against the Washington Nationals. Although he has been able to play catch, he has not started throwing off a bullpen mound yet and is still unable to run.
It remains unclear whether he will need more time on the injured list before returning to the field.
Due to these injuries, A.J. Minter has been serving as the Braves' primary closer, with Jesse Chavez stepping in for a save during a recent game.
