Injury Update On Texas Rangers Speedy Outfielder
Texas Rangers outfielder Leody Taveras has been making progress in his recovery from an oblique injury that landed him on the injured list at the start of the season.
Taveras has been taking batting practice from both sides of the plate and even swinging from the right side for the second consecutive day, indicating positive signs towards his return to the field.

According to reports from Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News, Taveras may begin a rehab assignment over the weekend and could potentially join the Rangers lineup as early as next week.
There is even speculation that he may be in the starting lineup for the team's home opener against the Cubs on Monday.
Taveras, known for his speed on the basepaths, could benefit from the increased bases this season. During his third MLB season in 2022, he stole a career-high 11 bases while batting .261/.309/.366 with a .675 OPS, five home runs, 34 RBI, and 39 runs scored in 99 games.
If he continues to progress without any setbacks, he will be a welcomed addition to the Rangers' lineup. Photo Credit: Steven Bisig-USA TODAY Sports
