Houston Astros Rumors: 3 Early-Season Trade Candidates
Welcome to Baseball Rumors' Early-Season Trade Candidates series. During it, we will be looking at three players who are already emerging as trade candidates during the beginning portion of the campaign.
In this latest episode, we will be looking at the Houston Astros.
Yainer Diaz: The Astros were reportedly listening to offers for Yainer Diaz this offseason, and they could yet again during the regular season as well. The Astros are in win-now mode, so they could use the promising young catcher to help them land an experienced catcher or outfielder that would make them better immediately.
Hunter Brown: If the Astros want to make a blockbuster trade this season, it will likely force them to move top prospect Hunter Brown. There is certainly some risk in that, but they could be open to moving him if it results in them landing an elite player as they aim to repeat as World Series champions.
Mauricio Dubon: Mauricio Dubon's placement on the Astros' depth chart has fallen, and they could look to move him during the year because of it. Although he does not carry too much trade value, there still should be some teams interested in him because he can play multiple positions.
