Colorado Rockies Rumors: 3 Early-Season Trade Candidates
Welcome to Baseball Rumors' Early-Season Trade Candidates series. During it, we will be looking at three players who are already emerging as trade candidates during the beginning portion of the campaign.
In this latest episode of the series, we will be focusing on the Colorado Rockies.
German Marquez: German Marquez was starting to pick up some steam in the rumor mill this offseason, and that is going to continue as we get closer to the deadline. The Rockies are likely going to entertain offers for him as well, as they could land a sweet return for him.
C.J. Cron: C.J. Cron has been heavily shopped by the Rockies since the offseason, but a move has yet to occur. However, when noting that teams around the league will be looking for more power as we get closer to the playoffs, expect his market to skyrocket.
Daniel Bard: Daniel Bard has come up in the rumor mill, and it ultimately makes sense. He is coming off of an amazing season, and the Rockies could get a good return for him because of it. With that, Colorado does not need a high-impact closer when noting that they are among the league's worst teams on paper.
