Chicago White Sox Pitcher Returns To The Mound After Cancer Treatment
The Chicago White Sox have been one of baseball's most disappointing teams thus far in 2023, but with plenty of time to turn it around, they could use every piece of good news possible if they want to compete in a wide open AL Central division.
This week, they got some phenomenal news, as relief pitcher Liam Hendriks, who was battling Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma just a matter of months ago has now officially returned to the mound less than two weeks after declaring he was officially cancer free.
In his MLB career, Hendriks has made three All-Star teams as well as three All-MLB squads, and this story is such an inspiring one, so the team will be hoping that he can continue this rise and get back to the big leagues whenever possible.Liam Hendriks hasn't missed a beat after a battle with Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma 👏
