Washington Nationals Release Left-Handed Pitcher
The Washington Nationals have parted ways with left-handed pitcher Francisco Pérez, who had re-signed with the team in January.
Pérez, who is 25 years old, will now explore opportunities as a free agent.

For his minor-league career, Perez holds a solid 3.24 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, with 439 strikeouts over 455.2 innings and 149 appearances.
He has appeared in 14 relief games in the major leagues over the past two seasons, compiling an ugly 5.87 ERA with 12 strikeouts.
