Toronto Blue Jays: 2 Trade Candidates Heading to Opening Day
The Toronto Blue Jays have high expectations for the 2023 season, and they are open to making some last-minute changes to their group before Opening Day. As a result, two players are emerging as trade candidates. Let's discuss them now.
Cavan Biggio: Cavan Biggio was once a top prospect for the Blue Jays, but he has had trouble cementing himself as an everyday MLB player. As a result of this, there have been rumblings that the Blue Jays are open to moving him if it's for a player that helps improve their roster immediately. Some teams who could be interested in acquiring the utilityman include the Chicago White Sox, Pittsburgh Pirates, Houston Astros, and Los Angeles Dodgers.
Yusei Kikuchi: After an All-Star season with the Seattle Mariners in 2021, Yusei Kikuchi signed a big deal with the Blue Jays. He was expected to be a solid part of their rotation, but he struggled mightily last year. As a result, Toronto is open to trading him, and this is especially so when noting that his spot in their rotation is no longer guaranteed.
