Despite being drafted in 2019, his arrival in Texas was delayed due to injuries and the pandemic. However, Jung made his debut in September 2022 and homered in his first at-bat, showcasing his exceptional batting skills.
Jung is known for his sound right-handed swing, good pitch recognition, and ability to make contact. He hit .322 in his first two pro seasons and continued to impress in 2021, batting .326 with 19 home runs and 61 RBI over 78 games between Double-A and Triple-A.

Following a shoulder surgery towards the end of last season, Jung made a notable return to the field, hitting five home runs in his first 26 MLB games.
Texas Rangers' manager, Bruce Bochy, has acknowledged that he has been impressed with Jung's offensive and defensive skills, which were demonstrated in a game against Seattle.
Bochy believes that Jung can handle the third base position for the entire season and has reserved his final judgment on Jung's abilities until he sees him in action in person.
Jung is expected to start the upcoming season at third base for the Rangers' revamped lineup.
