Texas Rangers Sign Left-Handed Pitcher
Bringing him back.
The Texas Rangers have re-signed pitcher Joshua Javier to a minor-league contract.
Javier last pitched during the 2021 season, compiling a 3.68 ERA, 2.09 WHIP, with 38 strikeouts over 22 innings and 17 appearances.
The twenty-four-year-old came over to the Rangers back in 2018, in the trade that saw Texas send Jake Diekman to the Arizona Diamondbacks.
For his minor-league career, Javier holds a solid 3.28 ERA, 1.43 WHIP, with 220 strikeouts across 200.1 innings of work. He's made 36 starts, 30 relief appearances and holds a 13-8 record.
He's still young, and the Rangers will likely continue to keep him in the minors to develop until he's ready to make his major-league debut.
