San Francisco Giants Sign Former Top Pitching Prospect
The San Francisco Giants have signed Logan Shore to a minor-league contract.
Shore was a second-round pick of the Oakland Athletics in the 2016 MLB Draft and was once a highly-regarded prospect for both the Athletics and the Detroit Tigers.
Despite his potential, Shore has yet to make an appearance in the MLB.

Shore spent the last two seasons in the minor league system of the Tigers and had a disappointing performance last year with a 5.68 ERA, 1.66 WHIP, and 39 strikeouts across 52.1 innings in 25 appearances, including six starts, for Triple-A Toledo.
Nonetheless, the Giants are taking a chance on Shore's potential and are hoping he can develop into a valuable asset for their organization.
For his minor-league career, the 28-year-old holds a 4.03 ERA, 1.34 WHIP, with 356 strikeouts over 424 innings and 111 appearances. Photo Credit: Kirthmon F. Dozier / USA TODAY NETWORK
