Bonifacio appeared in 187 games with the Royals between 2017-19, slashing .247/.319/.408, with 21 home runs, 66 RBIs, one stolen base and 89 runs scored.
He then spent a season each with the Detroit Tigers and the Philadelphia Phillies, recording a lackluster .206/.264/.299 slash line, two home runs, 19 RBIs and eight runs scored across 37 games.
The 29-year-old spent the majority of last season with Triple-A Lehigh Valley, the Phillies' affiliate.
