Philadelphia Phillies Rumors: A's First Baseman On Team's Radar

The Philadelphia Phillies were dealt brutal injury news when it was announced that Rhys Hoskins tore his ACL and will be out for the year. As a result of this, the Phillies are already browsing the trade market for a potential replacement for him at first base, and Seth Brown is on their radar because of it.

With the A's rebuilding, they have been reportedly listening to offers for Brown. It ultimately makes sense, as he is coming off of the best season of his four-year career and is under team control for multiple more years. Due to this, his trade value is at its highest, and the A's could land a great return for him because of it - whether that is from the Phillies or another club.

Brown offers versatility, too, as he can play the outfield and has performed well at DH. Therefore, at the end of the day, it would make sense for the Phillies to consider bringing him in.

In 150 games this past season with Oakland, Brown had 25 home runs, 73 RBIs, and a .230 batting average.
