Padres Oft-Injured Pitcher Removed From Game With Arm Injury
Can't catch a break.
San Diego Padres pitcher Adrian Morejon is facing injury concerns after experiencing discomfort in his elbow during Sunday's Cactus League matchup against the Oakland Athletics.
This is a recurring issue for Morejon, who has never pitched more than 65.1 innings in a season.
Padres manager Bob Melvin says Adrian Morejon exited the game due to an issue “just above his elbow” and “hopefully, it’s nothing serious” — more from Melvin: pic.twitter.com/4PikV1tvl8

The left-hander will undergo further testing, but it wouldn't be surprising to see him start the 2023 season on the injured list.
The Padres are likely hoping for a positive outcome, but it is important not to jump to conclusions and wait for further updates on his condition.
The 24-year-old is entering his fifth major-league season, having compiled a 5.05 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, and 65 strikeouts over 66 innings and 42 appearances.
