The 33-year-old pitcher has 125 career saves over his 11 seasons in the majors, however, he had a brutal 2022 season with the Boston Red Sox and Philadelphia Phillies, compiling a 6.09 ERA across 44.1 innings and 48 appearances.
He now joins an A's bullpen that can use all the help they can get, giving him a good shot at making the club's Opening Day roster.

Familia spent half a season with the Athletics back in 2018, posting a 3.45 ERA over 30 appearances.
