Minnesota Twins Release Seven Players
The Minnesota Twins have made several roster moves, releasing a group of players who had signed minor league contracts with the team.
Among those released are left-handed pitchers Locke St. John and Tyler Webb, right-handed pitcher Parker Bugg, catchers Chance Sisco and Grayson Greiner, and first baseman Nolan Machibroda.
Reliever Nolan Blackwood was also let go after signing with the team just last month.
St. John, who split time between the Cubs and Mets' Triple-A affiliates last year, has made eight major league relief appearances since 2019.
Bugg, a former Miami Marlins prospect, had signed with the Twins after spending almost a decade in their organization.
Webb, who pitched for the independent Atlantic League's Long Island Ducks in 2021, made 22 relief appearances for the St. Louis Cardinals that same year.
Sisco, who re-signed with the Twins in January, and Greiner, who signed with the team after appearing in two games for Arizona last year, were both catchers.
