Minnesota Twins' Nick Gordon In Walking Boot & Crutches
For players who already have a spot on a major league roster, spring training is not the time to make all-out dives to try to make a play. Just getting out of March without any injuries should be the goal.

Gordon's extra effort on a play where he dove trying to throw out a runner at first wound up costing him, as he limped off the field with an ankle injury.

They’ll keep evaluating him, and Rocco said at minimum Gordon won’t be playing through Monday’s off day.
Although he walked off under his own power, he was in a boot with crutches after the game. He's been diagnosed with a high ankle sprain.
Manager Rocco Baldelli said he definitely won't be playing for the next few days, and he'll undergo further testing.
The Twins' former first-rounder in the 2014 MLB Draft, Gordon, now 27, is expected to play an important utility role, with his versatility to play outfield, second and short. Last year, he batted .272 in 136 games, with a .743 OPS.
