The 27 year old totaled 1.1 innings in two Grapefruit League appearances with one hit and one strikeout.
During the 2022 season, Sammons pitched 50 innings out of the bullpen for Double-A Wichita, recording a 5.76 ERA, 1.30 WHIP, and a 59/18 K/BB ratio. His minor-league career includes 75 starts, 49 relief appearances, 2 saves, and a 27-28 record, with a 4.40 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, and 457 strikeouts over 439.2 innings pitched.
