Cleveland Guardians: 2 Trade Candidates Heading to Opening Day
The Cleveland Guardians are looking to build off of their solid 2022 season in 2023. As a result, they are reportedly open to making more moves before Opening Day. Here are two players who are being discussed in the rumor mill right now.
Zach Plesac: Since last season, Zach Plesac has been in the rumor mill, and that remains the case at the time of this writing. It ultimately makes sense, as the Guardians have several starting pitchers and could use a player like Plesac to improve their roster elsewhere. Teams looking for another starter will likely call Cleveland about Plesac before Opening Day because of this.
Amed Rosario: Amed Rosario is a pending unrestricted free agent who the Guardians could look to part ways with due to their middle infield depth. The Guardians do not want to run the risk of losing him for nothing next offseason, so if he can help them land a power hitter, don't be surprised to see him on the move.
