Cincinnati Reds Pitcher Makes Opening Day Roster
The Cincinnati Reds have informed Derek Law that he has made their Opening Day roster. As a result of this, his contract is set to be selected.
Law signed a minor league contract with the Reds with the hope of impressing them to earn himself a spot on their major league roster. Now, he has done just that, as he is officially joining their 40-man roster and will be a part of their pitching staff for the start of the 2023 campaign.
Law spent this past season split between the Detroit Tigers and Reds, where he had a 2-3 record to go along with a 4.12 ERA in 17 appearances. He will now be aiming to make a bigger impact for the Reds this season and become a key part of their bullpen because of it.
Nevertheless, congrats to Law for making the Reds' major league roster. In 193 career MLB games, he has a 12-8 record to go along with a 4.21 ERA.
