Chicago White Sox: 2 Trade Candidates Heading to Opening Day
The Chicago White Sox are aiming to bounce back from a disastrous 2022 season. As a result, they are reportedly looking to make more changes to their current roster before the start of the regular season. Due to this, two players are now emerging as trade candidates for them.
Gavin Sheets: At the time of this writing, Gavin Sheets is not expected to be an everyday player for the White Sox. As a result, there have been rumblings that Chicago is open to moving him if it helps improve their roster elsewhere. There certainly should be some interest in the 6-foot-5 outfielder because of this. In 124 games last season, he had 15 home runs, 53 RBIs, and a .241 batting average.
Lucas Giolito: The White Sox have made it known that they are ready to move Lucas Giolito. This is not too surprising, as the 6-foot-6 righty is coming off of a rough season that saw him have a 4.90 ERA in 30 appearances. Although he struggled in 2022, there could still be some teams willing to take a chance on him due to his past success.
