Chicago Cubs Sign Left-Handed Pitcher

Joining the Chicago Cubs.

The Cubs have signed left-handed pitcher Jack Aldrich to a minor-league contract.

The 23-year-old spent the 2022 season in the Kansas City Royals' system, compiling a 4.15 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, with 48 strikeouts over 56.1 innings and 28 appearances, split between Single-A and High-A.

For his minor-league career, Aldrich holds a 4.04 ERA, 1.30 WHIP, with 62 strikeouts across 71.1 innings and 37 appearances. 

He is a former 20th-round pick by the Royals in the 2021 MLB Draft.

He'll continue to develop in the Cubs' system.
