The injury appeared to be non-contact as his left knee gave out on him, causing him to immediately fall to the ground in pain.
Hoskins was down for several minutes and eventually carted off the field. The severity of his injury remains unknown, and the Phillies are expected to provide an update soon.

The cart is coming onto the field for Rhys Hoskins. Just brutal. Absolutely brutal. A non-contact injury.

However, this news comes just a week before the Opening Day, and it could be devastating for the team if Hoskins is forced to miss a significant amount of time.
