Baltimore Orioles Release Three Players
Several baseball players have been released by the Baltimore Orioles in recent news.
Curtis Terry, a 26-year-old infielder, was released after struggling at the plate during spring training. Terry had signed a minor-league contract with the Orioles after being released by the Twins.
Left-handed pitcher Kevin Smith was also released after spending two seasons with the Triple-A Norfolk team.
Despite never appearing in the major leagues, Smith was acquired by the Orioles in exchange for right-handed pitcher Miguel Castro in 2020.
Additionally, right-handed pitcher Blaine Knight, who was drafted by the Orioles in the third round of the 2018 draft, was also released after playing for their Triple-A affiliate in Norfolk for the past two seasons.
The Orioles say they released right-hander Blaine Knight, left-hander Kevin Smith and outfielder Robert Neustrom, as well as:
