The Atlanta Braves have signed 26-year-old right-handed pitcher Scott Blewett to a minor league deal.
Blewett has previously played in the majors, making five relief appearances with the Royals from 2020-2021 with a 3.38 ERA and eight strikeouts.

However, his performance in the upper levels of the Chicago White Sox' system during the 2022 season was less impressive, with a 5.78 ERA, 1.58 WHIP, and 109 strikeouts across 123 innings in 27 appearances, including 25 starts.
Despite this, Blewett will now join Triple-A Gwinnett as part of the Atlanta organization, where he will provide veteran depth for the team.

For his minor-league career, Blewett holds a 5.21 ERA, 1.50 WHIP, with 704 strikeouts over 842.1 innings and 179 appearances.
He's a former second-round pick by the Royals in the 2014 MLB Draft.
