Arizona Diamondbacks Rumors: First Baseman Available for Trade

The Arizona Diamondbacks are heading into the 2023 season with low expectations. As a result of this, they are reportedly willing to hear offers for power-hitting first baseman Christian Walker.

Walker's trade value is at its highest right now after a very impressive 2022 season. In 160 games for the Diamondbacks, he set new career highs with 36 home runs to go along with 94 RBIs. As a result, teams that are looking for a power-hitting first baseman will surely be calling the Diamondbacks about him.

Walker would also be more than just a rental if he is moved this season, as he is not eligible for unrestricted free agency until 2025. This naturally raises his trade value as well, so the Diamondbacks could receive a few good prospects in return for him. Alas, we will need to wait and see if Walker ends up being dealt from here.
