White Sox & Cardinals Emerging as Potential Trading Partners

The St. Louis Cardinals are looking to add to their rotation before the start of the season. With most of the top free-agent starters finding new homes at this point of the offseason, they are now browsing the trade market for one. Due to this, they reportedly have Chicago White Sox pitcher Lucas Giolito on their radar.

The White Sox have made it known that they are willing to listen to offers for Giolito. It makes sense that they are, as they have a surplus of starters, and Giolito is coming off of a rough 2022 season. In 30 appearances, he had an 11-9 record to go along with a 4.90 ERA. This was certainly not a good year for him, but maybe a change of scenery could get him back on track.

Nevertheless, we will need to wait and see if the Cardinals and White Sox end up striking a deal centering around him from here.
