Texas Rangers Sign Pitcher

Joining the Texas Rangers.

The Rangers have signed pitcher Aidan Anderson to a minor-league contract.

Anderson spent the past two seasons in the Philadelphia Phillies' minor-league system, recording a lackluster 5.62 ERA, 1.46 WHIP, and 32 strikeouts over 41.2 innings last year over three levels of the lower minors.

The right-handed pitcher has made just six appearances above the High-A level.

For his minor-league career, the twenty-five-year-old holds a 4.79 ERA, 1.32 WHIP, and 96 strikeouts over 120.1 innings of work. He's made two starts, 75 relief appearances, converted 15 saves and has an 8-7 record.
