Texas Rangers Sign Pitcher
The Texas Rangers have made a minor move, as they have signed lefty Andrew Mitchell to a minor league contract.
Mitchell spent this past season playing for Triple-A Syracuse and Double-A Binghamton. In 23 games split between the two leagues, he had a 1-1 record to go along with a rather high 6.37 ERA. However, he performed better in Triple-A, as he had a 5.17 ERA in 10 games. Down in Double-A, his era was up to 7.71 in 13 appearances.
Nevertheless, it was not a good year for Mitchell in 2022, but perhaps a change of scenery could help him get things back on track. Alas, we will need to wait and see how he performs for the Rangers organization from here.
