Pittsburgh Pirates Sign Pitcher

The Pittsburgh Pirates have made a minor move, as they have signed Angel Perdomo to a minor league contract. 

Perdomo is coming off of a solid 2022 season that saw him sport a 4-2 record and 1.85 ERA in 26 games split between Triple-A and Rk. Overall, the 6-foot-8 lefty put together the kind of season that could allow him to receive some consideration for a call-up from the Pirates. Yet, for that to occur, he will first need to impress them at spring training.

With the Pirates rebuilding and having a weak bullpen, there is no harm in them taking a chance on a pitcher like Perdomo. We will need to wait and see if he can make their Opening Day roster from here.
