Pittsburgh Pirates Sign Left-Handed Pitcher

The Pittsburgh Pirates have signed pitcher Braeden Ogle to a minor-league contract.

The contract doesn't include an invite to spring training.
Ogle was traded to the Philadelphia Phillies back in 2021 and recorded a poor 5.30 ERA, 1.71 WHIP, with 24 strikeouts across 35.2 innnings of work last season at Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
The twenty-five-year-old left-handed pitcher has yet to make his major-league debut after being drafted by the Pirates in the fourth round of the 2016 MLB Draft.
For his minor-league career, Ogle holds a 4.06 ERA, 1.41 WHIP, with 204 strikeouts over 217 innings of work.
He gets another chance with the Pirates and he'll work towards making the majors.
