New York Yankees Sign Catcher

Bringing him back.

The New York Yankees have signed catcher Rodolfo Duran to a minor-league contract with an invite to spring training.

After taking the winter to think about it, Duran has ultimately decided to return to the organization he spent the 2022 season with.

Last season, at Double-A Somerset, the twenty-four-year-old slashed a poor .222/.266/.414 line, with nine home runs, 33 RBIs and 20 runs scored over 203 at-bats.

Duran will likely begin the season at Triple-A Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

For his minor-league career, he holds a .240/.280/.688 triple-slash line, with 42 home runs, 145 RBIs, three stolen bases and 142 runs scored across 360 games.
