MLB's Projected Home Run Leaders For 2023

Using a series of advanced calculations, mlb.com has released its projections for the leading home runs hitters for every team in baseball. You can probably guess who the overall MLB leader is predicted to be.

Here's the projected top 10 list of 2023 Team HR Leaders, according to mlb.com:

1. Aaron Judge, New York Yankees, 44
2. Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Toronto Blue Jays, 39
2. Mike Trout, Los Angeles Angels, 39
2. Kyle Schwarber, Philadelphia Phillies, 39
2. Pete Alonso, New York Mets, 39
6. Yordan Alvarez, Houston Astros, 36
7. Austin Riley, Atlanta Braves, 35
8. Fernando Tatis Jr. San Diego Padres, 35
9. Julio Rodriguez, Seattle Mariners, 32
9. Rafael Devers, Boston Red Sox, 32
9. Byron Buxton, Minnesota Twins, 32

Hard to argue with any of those projections, although Byron Buxton will need to play more games than he's played in any of the previous five seasons if he hopes to reach that 32 mark. He's only suited up for more than 92 games once in his eight-year career, and that was back in 2017.

In addition, because only one player from each team was selected, a couple of names that might be on the top leaderboard aren't listed here, such as Shohei Ohtani of the Angels, Giancarlo Stanton of the New York Yankees and Matt Olson of the Atlanta Braves.

Here's the full list of each team's projected home run leader.
