MLB Rumors: NY Yankees Infielder Becoming Trade Candidate

The New York Yankees have a top prospect in Anthony Volpe who could very well be ready to make the jump to the majors this season. If that does in fact come to fruition, there's a real chance that we will see the Yankees trade Gleyber Torres because of it, according to ESPN's David Schoenfield.

After starting his career as an All-Star during his first two seasons, Torres has had trouble replicating that success. However, he still has been pretty productive regardless, as he is coming off of a season that saw him hit 24 home runs, record 76 RBIs, and sport a .257 batting average. Therefore, there definitely would be a market for him if he is officially shopped.

Nevertheless, we will need to wait and see if the Yankees end up moving Torres and run with Volpe from here.
